Playing Our Part
Our Carbon Reduction Commitment
Supporting the UK’s target in achieving net zero carbon by 2050.
In an industry that makes up 70% of the global wealth and circa 40% of carbon output during the construction process, HartDixon recognises that its role as project managers and building surveyors in the property sector will impact on the environment.
We are committed to the UK’s net zero carbon goals. We have created our own five-year carbon reduction plan to reduce carbon output from our operations significantly by 2025. In addition to controlling the impact of our business operations, we are working on many ESG led projects that span a range of asset classes from office accommodation to data centres. We are the project managers that delivered the first BREEAM Excellent large data centre in the UK for AXA and NTT Data Centres and we have a number of other BREEAM projects including the Warwick Building refurbishment at Kensington Village and a new office building in Royal College Street, Camden.
Investing In Our People
In line with the UN SDG diversity goals, we promote the values of respect, education, diversity and inclusion.
HartDixon’s mission is to give our clients the courage to explore their property and construction opportunities and make decisions with confidence. To do this well we need to invest in our talented people through continuous professional development and in supporting their health and wellbeing.
Motivated teams make things happen and it is the culture at work that helps drive enthusiasm and commitment. HartDixon is committed to providing a workplace environment where our teams enjoy coming to work and collaborating on exciting projects.
We provide an ambitious career path. We reward our team members through physical ownership opportunities, excellent employee benefits, education and training.
Fundraising at HartDixon
Through volunteering and philanthropy, we can make a real impact on charities that matter to our team.
Over the years, in addition to our own events, we have enjoyed supporting our clients and suppliers in charity activities from sports day to auctions and dinner events.
The more fun we have the better and in 2021, one of our senior partners, Huw Dixon participated in the #RunOrDye event – a fun run for all ages. Noted by the event’s organisers as ‘the world’s most colourful run’, Huw raised over £1000 for @Macmillan and @mariecurie.
We are always pushing to do more to work with our industry, community and strategic partners. Through shared common values, we can play our part in giving something back.
