HartDixon was appointed to undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) surveys across a portfolio of later living developments throughout the UK.
The objective was to provide the client with a clear, long-term understanding of future maintenance requirements and associated costs, enabling accurate service charge forecasting and proactive asset management. Rather than relying on reactive repairs, the PPMs established a structured programme of building fabric and mechanical and electrical maintenance works, supporting more efficient budgeting and lifecycle planning.
Working closely with the client team, HartDixon developed a bespoke reporting format tailored to their operational requirements, ensuring the information provided was both practical and actionable. The success of the programme led to further appointments, with HartDixon providing Contract Administration services on a number of projects identified through the PPM process, helping to deliver planned improvements and maximise the long-term performance of the assets.
HartDixon is known for acting as a credible and excellent project lead. We will manage the team, administer the works both practically and financially to completion.

Simon joined HartDixon in 2008 and is a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years experience. He has a broad range of experience in all aspects of building surveying and specialises in contract administration and project management for both the commercial and residential sectors.
