Value: £4.5 million
Location: Bermondsey
Project Type: Cladding/fire remediation
Duration: 16 months
Sector: Residential
HartDixon acted as Employer’s Agent for the cladding and fire remediation works at Salmon Youth Centre and the adjoining residential building, Davoll Court, in London.
The project required a collaborative approach from the outset, working closely with Salmon Youth Centre, the Greater London Authority (GLA), and Hyde Housing, which owns the leasehold interest in Davoll Court. A key challenge was securing the necessary approvals and stakeholder alignment to enable HartDixon’s appointment across both elements of the development, ensuring a coordinated remediation strategy could be delivered.
The works were undertaken within fully occupied buildings, including an active youth centre, a specialist learning facility for young people with additional needs, and occupied residential accommodation. This required careful planning, extensive stakeholder engagement, and ongoing coordination to minimise disruption while maintaining safe access to key areas of the site throughout the programme. The successful delivery of the project has enhanced the safety and performance of both buildings while allowing essential community and residential activities to continue uninterrupted.
HartDixon is known for acting as a credible and excellent project lead. We will manage the team, administer the works both practically and financially to completion.
