As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and aligning our efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the HartDixon team had the pleasure of volunteering with Leaves Breathes, a charity dedicated to restoring and preserving green spaces across London.
On a sunny afternoon last week, our team gathered at Beech Gardens, Barbican to contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of this community space. With gloves on, and tools in hand, we worked together to cultivate the gardens, ensuring they remain a biodiverse oasis for local residents.
Green spaces play a crucial role in urban environments, supporting biodiversity, improving air quality, and providing vital recreational areas for those who live within the city. The hands-on conservation work supports UN SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which advocates for inclusive, safe, and resilient urban environments. Additionally, our participation aligns with UN SDG 15: Life on Land, emphasising the necessity of protecting and restoring ecosystems.
At HartDixon, we play an integral role in the built economy and its lifecycle, and we’re committed to conducting our operations sustainably to protect our people, our business, and the environment.
