Client: Sophia Crichton Stuart, Cumbrae Properties
Value: £4m
Location: Camden, London
Project Type: Office redevelopment next to Grand Union Canal targeted at the creative fashion industry
Duration: 3 years
Sector: Office
HartDixon was appointed as Project Managers from Stage 1: Feasibility for the development of a new offices building on a very constrained, under-used surface car park site next to the Grand Union Canal.
The design was developed through a number of iterations, with pre-application consultations with the authority and a design review panel to a conditional planning consent in early 2022. Most of the conditions were discharged.
A two-stage tender process was undertaken, to allow contractor input and best value of the final design. A contractor was appointed to provide a CEMP and carry out some enabling works but at that point the Client decided to change their strategy for the site and suspend the project.
HartDixon is known for acting as a credible and excellent project lead. We will manage the team, administer the works both practically and financially to completion.

Barry started his career as a mechanical and electrical engineer, progressing to managing director and majority ownership of a firm of consulting engineers.
